Donning a tutu and jumping around like a pretty, pretty ballerina [1] was a highlight of dress-up time back in the day. Sadly, not all of us grew up to be the next Misty Copeland [2], but a good, sweaty barre workout [3] is arguably the next best way to live out your prima-ballerina dreams — and burn a ton of calories [4] along the way. Next to grace and elegance, ballerinas are known for their strong and toned yet slim legs [5].
