American alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin is headed to her third Winter Olympics, where she's expected to compete in every individual alpine skiing event [1]. Should she make the podium in three of those five disciplines, Shiffrin — who already has three Olympic medals and holds the record for most World Cup slalom wins [2] — will tie the Olympic record for career medals [3] in women's alpine skiing. Of course, that means that if Shiffrin were to medal in more than three events (and it's possible!), she'll become the most decorated Olympian in the history of her sport. When to Watch Mikaela Shiffrin at the 2022 Winter Olympics
Shiffrin is predicted to dominate alpine skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where she'll compete for the first time in super-G and downhill, in addition to giant slalom, slalom, and alpine combined. While Shiffrin is a heavy medal favorite across the board, her strongest events are giant slalom and slalom, which she won Olympic gold for in 2014 and 2018, respectively. However, she'll be facing some of her fiercest competitors in Beijing, which should make for a nail-biting finish.

- Women's super-G final: Thursday, Feb. 10, at 10 p.m. ET. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, Shiffrin withdrew from women's super-G due to weather delays and schedule changes. She's expected to medal in Beijing.
- Women's downhill final: Monday, Feb. 14, at 10 p.m. ET. Shiffrin is poised to clinch a spot atop the podium in women's downhill, a feat she has yet to accomplishment at the Olympics.
- Women's alpine combined downhill: Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
- Women's alpine combined slalom: Thursday, Feb. 17, at 1 a.m. ET. Shiffrin is expected to medal in women's alpine combined, which consists of one downhill race and one slalom race, after she took home silver at the 2018 Pyeonchang Games.
Olympic alpine skiing is unique in the sense that almost every event follows a different competition structure — albeit, in all six alpine skiing events [5], the winner is determined the same way: the skier who clocks the fastest time wins gold. Unlike the other ski disciplines, all skiers complete two runs in giant slalom and slalom; the skier with the fastest cumulative time is then awarded gold.
