Interior Pocket on Lining
- Take the fabric for the small interior pocket (3.5 in x 7 in), and fold it in half so it measures 3.5 in x 3.5 in and pattern is on the inside; sew seams along the two sides that are perpendicular to the fold, leaving the end opposite the fold open (top left photo). Turn it right side out and iron the pocket flat (middle photo on left).
- Now take the liner fabric (4.25 in x 22 in), bring the short ends together, and fold it in half so it measures 4.5 x 11. Lay it on your table with the fold on top.
- Place the interior pocket on the liner fabric, close to the fold, so the folded edge of the interior pocket is on top and the open edge is on the bottom. Pin the three sides as shown in the right photo, folding the bottom open edges in to hide the rough edges. Sew the three edges as in the picture on the bottom left.
