Here's another pose to elongate the muscles in the sides of the torso.
- From Standing Split, walk your hands back to the top of the mat and lower your hips back into Gate position with your right knee bent and your left leg straight.
- Plant your right palm on the floor behind your hips, fingertips facing away from you. Press into your right knee and left foot to lift the hips up, extending your left arm overhead (this is similar to the pose you just did called Lifted Straddle).
- Stay like this for five breaths.
