Lemonade Nuun Hydration Tablets
Warm-weather workouts — even short bike rides — are sweaty affairs, making it all the more important to replace lost electrolytes. Rather than sipping on plain water, I'm hydrating with lemonade hydration tablets from Nuun ($6.50 for 12 tablets). After the tablet dissolves in 16 ounces of water, it provides 360 milligrams sodium and 100 milligrams potassium, along with some magnesium and calcium — all important electrolytes and mineral to replenish after a sweat session. Sweetened with sorbitol, one tablet is only eight calories. Plus, the drink is tasty. Nuun introduced two other new flavors to keep you hydrated this summer, watermelon and a caffeinated cherry limeade, but the lemonade is my favorite. You can find handy and compact tubes of these tablets online at Nuun or pick up a supply at your local REI.
