Delay the Pedicure
If a regular pedicure is part of your life, you may need to think about delaying it until after your race. The more you run, the more the skin on your feet toughens up and builds calluses that allow you to run longer without forming blisters. Your feet may not be as beautiful as you’d like, but they are going to be tougher and more efficient with the increasing mileage. Pedicures will strip away those hard-earned calluses and leave your skin more sensitive to irritation and blisters. Think of your next pedicure as a postrace reward for all of your hard training work!
