Once again, Halle Berry has come in clutch with her go-to arm strengthening and toning exercises. "I know how hard it can be to get rid of that little extra somethin' but @peterleethomas and I have five exercises that really target those problem areas and kick-start muscle growth," she wrote in her Instagram caption.
Get ready to sculpt your biceps, triceps, and shoulders with these upper-body exercises. Grab two dumbbells, because it's time to work!
The first move Halle does for toned arms is the curl and press. Complete 10 to 20 reps.
Halle also likes the dumbbell static hold and curl. To perform this move, you'll curl one dumbbell and hold it at the top position (the dumbbell should be near your shoulder) while you perform regular curls on the other arm. Complete 10 to 20 reps per side.
Next up is the double dumbbell static hold. For this move, you'll begin with one dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing each other. Your elbows should be close to your ribs for the entire movement. Slowly begin to rotate both weights out to the side then return to the starting position. Complete 10 to 20 reps.
This move is all about being slow and controlled. Grab one dumbbell and focus on performing the curl with control, about three to four seconds, in each direction. Complete 10 to 20 reps.
Upgrade the push-up with the eccentric close grip elevated box push-up. You can also do this move on a bench. Complete 10 to 20 reps.
