Simone Biles Will Have a New Floor Routine in 2020 Choreographed by Her Former DWTS Partner

As is common with every new competition season, Simone Biles has had a number of floor routines over the years, from fun jazz to mashups of different genres. Since 2015, though, she's incorporated one distinct part into her music and choreography: she puts her hand in front of her face as a woman's voice exclaims "Oh!" on the track as if in shock (I look forward to that bit every time I watch her compete). You can see a compilation of her floor performances here to take a look for yourself.

Simone has also progressed her tumbling with moves no one has ever done in competition before. In 2013, it was the year of the Biles, which is a double layout with a half twist, and she's since added on new elements to that tumbling pass. Then, 2019 was the year of the Biles II, aka that incredible triple-twisting double backflip you've seen all over the internet.

Now, Simone has revealed that she's getting a new and improved floor routine for 2020, which we'll most likely see for the first time at the Olympic trials in June (and probably with that "Oh!" section included). It's choreographed by her former Dancing With the Stars partner Sasha Farber — the two were runners-up in 2017.

"thanks for my new floor routine @SashaFarber can't wait to perfect it & show it off!" Simone wrote on Twitter on Dec. 11. Sasha shared the news via Instagram that same day. He wrote, "So good to be with this one again today!!! We had way to much fun and laughed way too many times!!!! But it was an honor to do your new floor routine!!!!!!! So excited for you!!!! Bring on 2020 !!!!!!!!!"

With the amount of exclamation points, it seems like they're both very excited about this upcoming routine — and so are we, of course! We don't know what it'll look like or what music it'll be set to, but we can't wait to find out. With the countless records Simone broke at 2019 Worlds and this year in general, she deserves a fresh floor performance fit for the Tokyo Olympics, where, if everything goes according to plan at trials, we'll be seeing her in all her GOAT-like glory.
