Week after week, all-around Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee [1] brings her gymnastics skills to Dancing With the Stars [2] performances — remember when she did a front flip in heels [3] and a one-handed front walkover [4]? For the Oct. 18 episode, stars showcased Grease-themed dances, and Lee and partner Sasha Farber took on the Charleston, set to "Born to Hand Jive" by Sha Na Na.
Lee channeled her inner Cha-Cha DiGregorio, and the routine featured iconic moves from the Rydell High school dance [5]. There was also a high-flying backflip and a memorable pie-in-the-face ending for Farber (yes, that's whipped cream!) as an ode to the carnival scene [6] in Grease. As for the back tuck, Farber tossed Lee in the air, and she landed with ease before continuing on through the choreography.
This Charleston scored these two a solid 36 out of 40, and we're jiving right along with them! Watch the full energy-packed performance above.
