There's little that goes better with grilling and a special occasion than Silver Oak's newly released 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet ($100). Sure, it's a bit of a splurge, but who could be more worth it? Let Dad decide whether he wants to enjoy the wine's sophisticated black cherry notes and rich coffee finish now (it'd be great with steak, veal, or even game) or whether he wants for it, much like himself, to continue to evolve with age; it'll age gracefully through the year 2033.
