ALSW, our office has the same policy...we're a little more lenient but sometimes people abuse this leniency so when I'm in a mood, I'll empty it out midweek...mean, but some people just don't learn... Yesterday I opened our fridge and there are empty used tupperwares in there...we have a dishwasher but for some reason they like stockpiling the fridge with empty and USED tupperwares!

I've never been brave enough to put anything into a communal fridge. Luckily, I now share a small fridge w/ one other co-worker.

Wow. Our office has a standing police that if anything is still in any of the communal fridges at 5 on Friday, it gets tossed or the fridge doesn't get cleaned. But there are smaller fridges in the office too for salad dressings and things are more longterm.
