I know EXACTLY what that's like!! Sometimes you have high hopes for things but you wind up being let down. I find that it's better to go in without expectations. That way, you are more likely to be surprised by something and less likely to be let down.

I too once had this great rice pilaf, but with this one, i tried it and i really wanted to like it, but i really just couldn't bring myself to like it.
