Ben & Jerry's latest product announcement isn't what you'd expect; the brand teamed up with New Belgium Brewing Company (the makers of Fat Tire) to produce a dessert-inspired beer. Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale [1], on shelves in Fall 2015, might sound kind of crazy, but it's hardly the first brew to include chocolate as a flavoring agent — Almanac Biere de Chocolat [2], Dogfish Head Theobroma [3], Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock [4], and other cacao-infused beers already exist. Frankly, we're more puzzled that the Vermont-based creamery doesn't yet make a salted caramel brownie flavor (Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Blondie [5], while tasty, doesn't quite count).
