There's a restaurant in New Orleans that included spicy walnuts that were amazing with their cheese plates.

i usually limit my food on a cheese plate to cheese and crackers or bread of some type. i feel like anything else just makes it more than just a cheese plate

I like thin orange wedges on my trays...mixed with herb sprigs like mint. Cheese make the breath funky...

Always a few types of grapes -- champagne grapes if I can find them and then red or green grapes. Sometimes cut up apples or pears. Bread and crackers on the side, as I usually have some kind of traditional Italian antipasto plate as well. That includes any combo of: provolone, fresh mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, olives, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes, crostini, and olive-oil packed tuna. Really depends on how big of a "do" we're having and how many people, as well as what I've got on hand -- I *always* have olives, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes on hand!

I LOVE CHEESE PLATES. I make them all the time. I either go sweet or savory for them. Let me say, I am notorious for mixing things that should not be mixed. I did a cheese plate last week with triple cream brie, lemon curd, thick bacon pieces, raisin bread toast points and sweet/spicy pecans. My roommate and I shared one on the weekend with kalamata, & almond stuffed green, olives, water crackers, jarlsberg, brie, blueberry jam and dried tart cherries. I can see I'm going overboard here, but I like this poll.

I adore fruit and cheese. Grapes, apples, and pears are my favorite fruits to couple with cheese. I groove on the sweet/salty contrast!

All of the above, except the jams and jellies. But if the plate gets too crowded...I'm throwing everything off for the cheese. The more cheese, the better. love, love, love cheese.

I voted for olives because it's my top choice. I also love crackers, preferably specialty.
