Alton Brown famously said the "best flavor on Earth" is Cheetos [2]. We have to agree, and that's what inspired him to develop a recipe for umami dusted popcorn [3]. Alton's convinced he's "cracked the code" on the cheesy dust found on Cheetos, which he shakes into buttered popcorn. This isn't a highfalutin recipe, either. Cheddar cheese powder and green-can grated parmesan are just a few of the essential ingredients.
