LMAO he sure does, well, if you consider "eating" to be helping out, then YES!

We're perfect together in the kitchen, just like our marriage. Some things he does better, other I do better. We both love food too much and are always dieing to try something new. :)

I wish my fiance would cook, but he's just not any good, bless his heart. I think it would be fun to attempt a simple dessert recipe together in the near future, to give him some confidence that he can make something other than frozen pizza or canned soup.

Only when I ask him to help out.

We tend to switch off, since we're both sort of control freaks in the kitchen.

I love this about us! If I'm not in the mood, my husband does it w/out thinking...Most of the time I operate the kitchen, though. Many nights, he grills, and I stay in the kitchen preparing the sides. We're a good team. It's actually one of the best things we do together.

My husband gets super intimidated in the kitchen with my cooking skills. I invite him to help me out, or give him tasks when he passes by but try not to overwhelm him. If he cooks I generally avoid the kitchen so that he doesn't get nervous and flustered.

Mostly we switch...I'll make dinner one night, him the next. But we do both pitch in sometimes, depending on what's on the menu.

We used to, but now with a baby at home we just don't really have time to relax like that. He's usually the cook and just wants to get in the kitchen, get it done and get out.

My boyfriend plays soux chef to me every night when I cook. It's very sweet and it's a nice way to catch up after work. Sunday mornings he takes over the kitchen for a big breakfast. I tried to be soux chef to him a few times but I get too involved, so now I just leave him be and relax :)

Seriously, I would give my right arm for my husband to help out in the kitchen. I beg and plead, and he still won't get off the couch to lend a hand. He claims he is inept and incapable of even making grilled cheese. I claim he is a lazy bastard. It is so frustrating when I don't get home until 9pm and I am tired and exhausted and the door hasn't even shut behind me before he says "I'm starving, can you start dinner ASAP?" So, alas, I cook alone every night. In exchange, I do make him do the dishes and clean the kitchen, though!

My husband's skills and my skills definitely balance each other, and we have a terrific amount of fun at the same time.

Yeah dads count!! My dad is the one who groomed me into the foodie I am today. My ex used to be weirdly disgusted with my passion for food. Everything I did he labeled "elaborate" and "unnecessary", so I always just let him cook because I didn't feel like dealing with it. My new man is a foodie so we really delight in spending nights in together just cooking (and usually drinking too much wine in the process).

my fiance and i ALWAYS used to cook together when we were first going out - but that's when i didn't tell him that i was a vegetarian cause i didn't want to seem like the picky girl. now - well...we don't cook together all that much - but when we do - it's a lot of fun. he likes to RULE the kitchen, so he cooks for me every night and when i go in to the kitchen, he shoos me out. it's kind of cute and i like it. :) it's the reverse of the house wife thing - and that's always fun!

Cooking with your daddy? Do you even need to ask?? Definitely counts. I'd even go for bomus points in that. Cooking with my dad always leads to at least one item burned. My fella likes helping, when he's not busy doing something else (like playing Madden on XB360) but he is fantastic at cleaning up after dinner. A VERY even split in my opinion.

As I've posted before on this site, my girlfriend and I are long-distance, so we relish the opportunity to cook together when we can. I'm better at mise-en-place prep and with most meats, while she's much better at salads. I'm better with soup, she's better with stir-fry. And she's a much better baker, while I mix better drinks. We cover each other's strengths and weaknesses. Which is not to say that she has weaknesses!

I'm single, but I LOVE to cook with my dad, does that count?!

we do. usually one of us does the prep work and the other does the actual cooking. it makes the whole process seem a lot less burdensome, especially when it's a complicated dish and it's been a long day at work.

I like to have the kitchen to my self. It is very same. Also so my husband can't cook. But I need to make do prep work. Like cutting and peeling.

My husband's the better cook; I'm the better baker. Together, we make a great team! It's fun to share the kitchen on most days.
