Do You Drink Scotch?

On Tuesday night I found myself at a Macallan scotch tasting, where we got to sample five of the brand's award-winning whiskeys. My favorites were the 10-year and the 18-year. While I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Macallan and Scotland in general, I was surprised when I scanned the crowd and noticed it was mostly men. I sip the caramel-colored spirit often, as do several of my best female friends. How about you? Is it too strong for you?

Yes. I've visited the Glenlivet distillery in Scotland, so I'm partial to that. Their 14 year French Oak finish is divine, but I haven't had much luck locating it.

I love Scotch. Auchentoshan 3 wood, and Glenlivet Nadurra 16 year, are pretty good, to name a few.

Yes, but I like the good stuff that my budget doesn't allow me to indulge very often.

YES! I like the hard stuff. Scotch, Whiskey, Bourbon and Gin, all lovely and tasty. Of course I have to avoid the one's that come from Wheat, Rye or Barley but there are plenty of wild grain alcohols in the world.

No, but I'd love to learn about them.
