I like baking and I find it easier but that's just me but i voted for eating, because of course that's the best part of baking is to eat what you made afterwards!!!!!!!

I can't figure out if I like cooking or baking better!

i hate baking! ugh. i am a sort of freeform cook, so baking is too scientific for me. not to mention i farrrr prefer savoury foods to sweet ones.
i would rather cook because I am better at it, but would like to learn more about baking.

I cook at least one meal a day. So I cook more often. I tend to bake in spurts. But when I do get in the baking mood everyone benefits. I get on these tangents to try out new cookie or cupcake recipes and I end up with lots to share. I do alot of baking from Halloween to New Years... then I won't bake for 3 months. And the more I think about it ... I do like cooking better.

I Love all of it. Although I usually don't get to bake much but I just bought a bunch of ingredients for me and my daughters to whip something cute up for St. Patty's Day. SO I will be cooking, baking and probably grilling too this come weekend. I will def. be on the grill tonight. We use the grill through all seasons.

Cooking's okay, but I love love love to bake. I bake bread every week and I love cookies and brownies and cinnamon rolls ... pretty everything sweet is good by me. I agree with bluecanary - I don't follow recipes when I'm cooking, but I do (for the most part, anyway!) when I'm baking.

I love to's just fun to put together a batch of cookie dough or cake batter. I'm getting better at cooking, though. Soups and chili are fun to make, but take a while (and the yummy smells make me hungrier!). I prefer the "instant gratification" of a quick stir-fry, making taco filling or chopping up some salad veggies. And to be honest, I'm a chicken when it comes to grilling meat. Every time I try, it's either too-pink or charred black, so I leave it to the experts. But I *LOVE* a nice medium-rare steak!

I love it all - but seriously have a zen thing for baking. Plus, it is nice to have something delicious and sweet at the end!

Both are great, but I think I like baking more. Plus, with baking usually what I make lasts longer, whereas when I cook I just make enough for one meal.

Although i love to both cook, and bake, its much more delightful to be in the kitchen with the smells of sugar, chocolate..etc, rather than oil, garlic, and grease.

For me it's a tie between cooking and baking. =]

I LOVE GRILLING! The town I grew up in is famous for it's tri-tip and it's seasoning (Santa Maria style seasoning, Susie Q is IT) I love marinating, throwing it on the grill, adding some veggies on there, hanging out in the yard. It's so social and fun. Mmmmm now I want to visit my parents to get some home BBQ!

I agree with #19, 21, 25, 26, 28 and 39 (it's easier than remember names). I love to eat and cook and you must cook in order to eat so it was a hard choice. I like to bake but like the above mentioned - the science and over mixing always get me. Basically, I'm a foodaholic! Hubby does the grilling. Burgers tonight.

I love both cooking and baking. Since moving to SF I don't get a chance to BBQ because our deck is off limits. Actually if I cook or bake I generally don't eat it - too exhausted afterward to partake. I do both for the joy of it.

cooking is fun, but i just like the magic associated with baking - watching everything pop up is just fun!

I'm more of a cook than a baker, but I do both. And I couldn't check anything off on the choices because I love cooking AND grilling. And when I bake, I really enjoy that, too. Just put me in the kitchen and I'm happy. :)

I'm not that great of a cook, but I'd much rather be good at that...probably because I don't have much of a sweet tooth and don't bake unless it's for a special occasion. Like another person said, cooking allows for more creativity. And I admire those who are great cooks/chefs...I don't think it takes much to be good at baking.
