We have some really nice high-end crystal glasses in the hutch, but we never use those, they are mostly for making the hutch look nice and not empty. As for the everyday, we mostly rely on cheap glasses and disposable since no one wants to do that many dishes when you have a house full of people!

Hah, I don't really own glassware except for a few free wine glasses, I just graduated from college last year and I'm still living on the free plastic cups they give out for everything on campus, hah.

I have both cheap and expensive ones and have broken both of them at about the same rate.

We got some really nice glassware for our wedding, but my husband managed to break 2 glasses by throwing them in the sink too hard. And when we adopted our cat, we found out that he's obsessed with sticking his paws and head into glasses to try and fish the ice out. So he broke the remaining glasses and we replaced them with cheapie ones in case they break again.

I don't buy expensive ones, because I don't see the point in spending more money on something if it looks exactly like a cheaper version.

i have some nice drinking glasses that I got for my wedding, but they weren't very expensive. I bought my wine glasses at ikea, because I wanted to be able to put them in the dishwasher and not stress about them breaking.

I wish I could afford to! Honestly, though, I'm glad that I have a matching set that allows everyone who wants to drink, drink.

i guess it depends on what you mean by expensivemy everyday glasses aren't expensive but they look really nice and are solid...i bet people think they were expensivebut i also have really nice ones in my hutch which i don't use everyday...but again, i don't know what is considered "expensive"...they're nice though and more delicate than my everyday stuff
