Do You Watch MasterChef?

Are You Watching MasterChef?

Between Top Chef DC and The Next Food Network Star, it's hard to keep track of all the culinary television competitions. One that we've been secretly watching is Gordon Ramsay's MasterChef on Fox. On the show, which airs on Tuesday nights, Ramsay, restaurateur Joe Bastianich, and chef Graham Elliot search for the nation's home cook. Have you been tuning in?

@Amber Honey Thanks for mentioning that! Hells kitchen and this are the only shows I watch on Fox right now so I would have been disappointed if I had tuned in on Tuesday all ready for some MC and it wasn't on.

Yes, GR is a lot nicer on the British versions of his shows. But I do love that he calls people donkey instead of an a**. On MC I find Joe to be a lot scarier then GR. GR seems some what compassionate, but Joe barely even says a word to the contestants and comes off as very judgmental.

I love it! I loved Hell's Kitchen and I love MC. GR is amazing because he knows what he's talking about. I get so emotional with the contestants that are there from beginning to end.

Every cooking show/competition is on my list. FYI: MC is moving to Wednesdays. Eat, drink and be merry every day of your life! Yeah to CA girl winning Hell's Kitchen!

I love Gordon and all of his shows, but sorry....calling someone a "donkey" on a daily basis is not being honest and encouraging. Watch the BBC version of Kitchen Nightmares. He's a completely different person.

I think Gordon is so much nicer on this show than on Hells Kitchen or even Kitchen Nightmares - absolutely love him. Just because he is honest and not holding everyones' hand doesn't mean he is berating or humiliating. Some of those contestants deserve it - so cocky and arrogant. I really like Graham Elliott, too, but Joe Bastianich has been irking me. I find that he is more cruel than GR.

Gordon is nasty on the American versions of these shows, but actually mostly nice and helpful on the BBC versions. Probably because Americans would rather see someone be berated and humiliated than encouraged in a positive way.
