Quick Smoothie Suggestions Wanted

Oatmealrunner needs our help! She recently asked the community for smoothie tips.

She says, "I need some help finding some awesome smoothie recipes that are quick and require minimal ingredients."

I'm recommending my go-to smoothie as of late. It only has three ingredients: orange juice, Greek yogurt, and strawberries. It's absolutely delicious! Do you have any ideas for her? Please share them in the comments below.

I also have at least one smoothie a day. My usuals are: Frozen banana slices, frozen strawberries, vanilla Greek yogurt Frozen banana slices, frozen blueberries, spinach, milk of your choice, and either cocoa powder or protein powder. Avocado is a great way to add healthy fat AND make them super thick and creamy.

I drink at least one smoothie a day. My must-haves in the base are almond milk, protein powder, cinnamon, and spinach (swear you can't taste it!). Then I add from there: banana, mango, avocado, sweet potato... anything! Check out my favs here: www.sprint2thetable.com/recipes

Agreed about Greek yogurt being a fantastic blank canvas. A fave: add sliced banana, peanut butter, and Nutella to the blender.

Greek yogurt is a great base for any smoothie, lots of protein and makes the drink creamy without a lot of fat. Add blueberries, white peaches and apple/cranberry juice for a super sweet smoothie. Mango and orange juice, or try a Green Monster; spinach, banana, almond butter and almond milk

Our go to smoothie recipe is frozen strawberries, apple juice or white grape juice, a banana chopped up. I usually end up adding another fruit in there, fresh or frozen. Add peanut butter for a protein boost. If you choose a dark berry like blueberries or blackberries, I recommend trying a more tart juice like orange juice or cranberry juice.

I make one that I got from weightwatchers: coconut milk, frozen oj mix, pineapple chunks and ice. It's really good. I use the light coconut milk but you could use regular if you're not concerned with calories.

I'm obsessed with smoothies right now, in case you hadn't noticed. My go-to when I'm headed out the door is unsweetened coconut, almond or soy milk with any berries, a drizzle of agave nectar, and a scoop of whey protein powder. It keeps me full until 12! Or you can try these. Hope that helps!
