It's like oranges with cinnamon for dipping: Reader Mee-shell uploaded this photo of mangoes with chili and lime to the Savory Sights group in the YumSugar Community.

I picked this snack up at a street fair recently but it's super easy to make at home. Toss sliced mango with lime juice, salt, and chili powder. Done! (Jicama and papaya work great too.)

Of course! It works with cucumber, watermelon,Jicama, mango, even coconut! I love it! Whether i get it at fruit carts in Mexico, even though when i studied abroad in Mex. they warned us about eating pre- peeled and cut food, but we did it anyways!

Ah yes, the baggy of mango. When my husband and I were in Costa Rica a couple of years ago, we were driving from Heredia to Liberia, and it was taking forever due to roadwork. At one of the stoppages (the highway was down to one lane, so you had to wait 15 mins for your direction's turn) a guy was selling this stuff to the waiting drivers. My husband bought a nice big bag, which was hot to begin with, but by the time we got to Liberia it was roasting. I thought it probably wasn't all that safe to eat but he sat and ate it ALL within about half an hour. He was really sick that night.... hahahahahaha!

Nothing better than fresh ripe mango! One of my favorites (nearly the same) in Mexico is small chunks of mango, jicama & cucumber with lots of fresh lime juice & some chili powder. SOOOoooo refreshing on a hot day! The first time I tried it, we were at the beach and kept noticing a local family serving up plates of it from a big tupperware container. I guess we must have been staring, because pretty soon they brought over a big plate for us! One bite, and we were sold... I find myself preparing it often, goes perfectly with nearly anything.
