Favorite Types of Mexican Hot Sauce

What's Your Favorite Kind of Mexican Hot Sauce?

Considering their extensive use of all kinds of chiles, Latinos really know their hot sauces. Since I stock my fridge with several kinds of hot sauce (each one has a different use!), when it comes to Mexican cuisine, I have one brand I can't get enough of: Valentina salsa picante. This slightly smoky, thick, and spicy sauce is wonderful on everything from eggs to tacos.

How about you? What's your favorite kind of Mexican hot sauce? Tapatio? Cholula?

Tapatio is okay. I'm not a huge Mexican hot sauce fan, I'm more of a Sriracha type girl (Thai).

I used to like Cholula but now I am addicted to Crystal Hot Sauce (definitely not Mexican though). :)

VALENTINA is awesome. Tapatio is ok; it was my favorite before I discovered Valentina.

I have a bottle of Valentina Extra Hot on my desk at work, and 2 bottles at home. Glad to see it getting a shout out on yumsugar!

My homemade sauce beats the commercial hand-down ;) but if I must choose a commercial brand then Cholula is my go-to, then red Tabasco. :)

I love Tapatio! And the green Tabasco is pretty good. My mom swore by Pico Pica - when they finally started stocking it in her town she was so excited!

It's between Tapatio and Cholula. It depends on what I am eating but I'll go with Tapatio. Hot cheetos with tapatio sauce and lime or lemon juice is so good.
