If you're one of those people who finds joy in leaving bad Yelp reviews for restaurants, you're going to love Food Network's new show [1]. According to Forbes [2], the network has paired with Yelp to make a new show called 12 Hungry Yelpers, which will be all about helping restaurants improve based on negative reviews they've received on Yelp. The name is a riff on "that classic courtroom nail-biter 12 Angry Men [3]," Grub Street reports, and I can't help but envision this as the 2.0 version of Robert Irvine's Restaurant Impossible.
Everyone knows Yelp restaurant reviews are approximately 15 percent valuable and 85 percent whiny complaints/rants ("the wait was too long"), so the concept should certainly make for entertaining television. In preparation for the show, which doesn't yet have a release date, please enjoy this hilarious video from Foodbeast, in which popular chefs read one-star Yelp reviews. It's like the food version of celebrities reading mean tweets [4].
