- 3 mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
1 small slice of fresh ginger
1/4 ounce ginger simple syrup 
1 1/2 ounces Cognac
1 ounce iced ginger-lemon green tea, such as Kusmi 
1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice, optional
- Muddle the mint, ginger, and simple syrup in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add the cognac, tea, and lemon juice, if using. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint, gently massaging the mint leaves between your fingertips to release their oils first.
