Grilled Chicken Breasts and Thighs with CCQ Sauce

Grilled Chicken with BBQ Sauce


  1. 3 pounds skin-on, bone-in chicken pieces
  2. Basque BBQ rub [3]
  3. Olive Oil
  4. CCQ Sauce [4]


  1. Generously rub with the chicken with the Basque BBQ rub. Add to a large mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate (refrigerated) for 3 to 6 hours.
  2. Preheat the grill for 10 minutes on high heat; lower the heat to medium, and sear the chicken skin-side down until the skin is browned and releases from the grill grates, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook until browned on the other side, about 2-3 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for the light meat, and 170°F for the dark meat.
  3. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes, slather with CCQ sauce and serve.
