Handful of Plates: Love It or Hate It?

These taco shell style plates were designed by Dutch-born designer Alissia Melka-Teichroew. The Handful of Plates are sold in a set of three for $110 and are curved in order for you to keep the plate in one hand, while eating the food with the other. I think they're ideal for parties, but wonder if they would be awkward to hold, especially if you had smaller hands. What do you guys think, do you like them?

Give me some plastic non-microwavable plates, and I can make you some of these for $5! Please...$110 for three. Get out of town! Who can afford to throw a party paying that much

At parties, I always have a drink in one hand. This is a neat idea, but I need one of my hands to drink w/., and not hold a fancy plate. Just give me some easy to pick up and eat foods...

I'd drop my food all over the place.

i think they're cute and unique...but i could def. see myself spilling all my food down the sides of that thing! lol

I like how the press picture shows strawberries, because there's no way those will roll off! Right. If these are party plates and they're 3 for $110, I don't expect they'll get put out at many parties....

Sold in sets of 3??

I think I might spill my food easier with these, and at 3/$110! Not in my cupboard.

it's called a "bowl"!!!! I don't understand how this is supposed to be innovative. i agree with the above that the food could just easily fall out the sides.

I don't have a problem holding a normal plate in one hand.

I like them, but I agree with CestLaVie. You wouldn't be able to put anything saucy or runny in those plates.

I agree with kiwi... I'd just use a bowl too!

I have "handful" plates right now at my desk and they dont cost $110 dollars for a set of 3 (did i read that right? 3 for 110? what!) they are called "napkins" or better yet, my HANDS!

I think they are very cool BUT I cannot imagine that making them easier. Easier would be a bowl LOL!

You def. could not serve anything on them with ANY type of sauce or runny filling. I think they would be a pain.

I agree with lily and Twinkle. Too many issues to make them feasible.

I dunno, they do look easier to hold, but I'd be afraid of spilling food from the ends. That little piping could hardly keep all those strawberries in, and they'd probably go the way of taco fillings.
