Today is the first day of the Year of the Rat. During the Chinese New Year, a special emphasis is placed on the symbology of different foods. dried tofu is OK to eat--just not fresh tofu b/c of it's white color. I really should have done better on this considering I lived in China, oh well. I guess I should stock up on tangerines before attempting my Chinese new year brunch of dumplings. I'm worried they will all fall to pieces.
