Honey isn't only good stirred into tea; it's also wonderful for sweetening cocktails. In this drink, it adds a lovely floral quality as well as provides a subtle sweetness. With only four ingredients — honey, orange juice, lemon juice, and gin — this libation is fairly simple, but it's sophisticated and perfectly balanced. Honey Gin Cocktail Recipe 2011-03-04 13:13:46

Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon honey
  2. 2 ounces gin
  3. 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  4. 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
  5. 1 lemon twist, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine the honey, gin, and citrus juices in a cocktail shaker. Before adding the ice, stir well to incorporate the thick honey with the other liquids.
  2. Add ice and shake for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe, garnish with a lemon twist, and enjoy!

Makes 1 drink.
