How Do You Feel About Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving: Love It or Hate It?

The fourth Thursday in November is the biggest food celebration of the year. The entire holiday revolves around consuming a special feast. The meal is symbolic because it reminds us to slow down, give thanks for all that we have, and enjoy the company of loved ones. From the planning to the table decor to the turkey, I love everything about Thanksgiving and can't wait for the big day. How about you?

It's my least favorite holiday. I spend it alone every year to avoid contact with people I would rather not see. Plus, I'm not big on Turkey. I would much rather have a big pizza feast instead.

Thanksgiving is okay; good not great. Even when I used to eat turkey I felt the same way. Christmas, Halloween and my birthday are far superior holidays.

On one hand, I really dislike a holiday that seems to be centered around countless dead birds (except the one-a-year that gets spared.. how cute), but every year my local vegetarian group has a turkey-free feast for Thanksgiving. Vegan green bean casserole, apple tarts, tofurkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce... Yummmmm. =)

It's okay. I'm grateful. I  getting together with family, but it's like pulling teeth to get everyone together. Then, it's the same old thing every time. Holidays are difficult when you're single b/c it's always about family.

Thanksgiving is seriously my favorite meal with my favorite kinds of food. If I had to pick a last meal, it would be Thanksgiving. Plus, you don't have the stress of buying presents for people, and you can have pie for breakfast! It's a win-win. My sister hates it though - she doesn't have the healthiest relationship with food and hates the idea that there's a holiday just about food. We've tried to turn her around but to no avail. Sigh.

Not a fan. Being around my family is stressful and I hate typical Thanksgiving day foods with a passion. Turkey? Stuffing? Yams? Sweet potatoes? Cranberries? Green Bean Casserole? YUCK!!!!

Its a holiday with no obligation other than cooking and eating; thus, its the best holiday ever.
