Ghost Toast
From The Charlotte Weekly [2]
Ingredients
- 1 slice white bread
About 1 tablespoon butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon sugar
Directions
- Position the top rack in your oven four to five inches from the top of the oven; preheat the oven on the high broiler setting.
- Generously butter one side of the bread. Carefully cut a ghostlike shape out of aluminum foil using a paring knife to punch out two eyes. Press the foil on top of the buttered bread. Whisk together the cinnamon and sugar, and generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the buttered bread.
- On a baking sheet, broil the toast until the sugar has melted and browned. Allow to cool for 1 minute, and then peel back the aluminum foil to reveal the ghost shape.
