- 1 pound (4 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 large egg yolks
- 2 ¼ teaspoons vanilla
- 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- Using a standing mixer beat together butter, sugar, and salt in large bowl until light and fluffy. Your mixture should be a pale yellow color.
