Get a Taste of Japan's Hottest Dessert Right at Home

Japan has a serious love affair with Kit Kats (the country sells a zillion flavors like strawberry cheesecake, purple sweet potato, and wasabi that aren't offered in the States), but when Japan's largest coffeehouse Pronto launched Kit Kat croissants [1], the entire world took notice. Each Kit Kat croissant contains two Kit Kats (milk chocolate, matcha, or white chocolate) baked into a flaky croissant and topped with powdered sugar. What's incredible is that the treat only costs 180 yen (less than $2). While you may not be able to venture to Japan anytime soon, we took the liberty of re-creating this insanely delicious-looking hybrid using Kit Kats and crescent dough. See the original Kit Kat croissants down below and watch the video above to try the hack at home!
