Love It or Hate It: Pepsi's New Logo

Love It or Hate It: Pepsi's New Logo

Pepsi's redesigning their look and I've got a sneak peek at the logo redesign! The new logo, shown here at bottom right, is the 11th in Pepsi's 110-year history. It was designed by the Arnell Group and took five months to create. Graphically, the logo is loosely characterized by a smile.

Advertising experts estimate that rolling out the new look of the brand — updating trucks, vending machines, point-of-purchase displays, and other signage — will cost Pepsi hundreds of millions of dollars. Do you think the redesign is worth the cost to roll out the new look?

i think it looks just fine. =) it kinda looks like they're peeling of the white to try and show you that since the world is changing, so is their company. but i don't see the difference in drinking. i dont think a logo should change the way you feel about the taste. =/ its just that they wanted to change a little. haven't you ever wanted to change? who can blame them for trying to? i think most of you are inconsiderate, rude, spoiled brats who can't get off their high horses for once to accept the change that they want to make. you people make me feel sad to admit that im american. isn't this the "land of the free, home of the brave"? wheres the bravery in ridiculing people who want to change. your all mean.

They should have kept the 1971 logo. Why ruin a good thing?

I agree w/ Amelia77. They could have given the $$ to some good cause & left it

I don't like it.. I have always liked the 1971 logo and I wasn't keen on the last redesign but I really hate this one.

I prefer the 1951 logo (but maybe that's because I prefer Coke), but the new logo definitely looks like it was inspired by Obama's symbol. Pepsi knows what the young people like :)

it doesn't really work for me actually. i think that maybe when we see it on the packaging it'll look better.

Not much of a Pepsi drinker as it is but I'm not so sure about this new's ok...I would say it has kinda a sailing vibe more then a smile and the lettering looks simplistic

I hate it when any company changes their logo. But I agree Jude, it is kinda bland and ordinary. Why did they change the way the wave curls...?

Looks sort of bland to me.

i still like the '71 logo best! cutely simple and retro! party-i have a friend who works for frito-lay, and he said that even in a bad economy, people still buy snack foods, soda and beer...and that my friends, is why we have an obesity epidemic!

I don't really get why they're changing in the first place.

They shouldn't change just to change, just stick with the old one. And I agree with those who said they 1971 one is the best.

The '71 logo looks best. The new one looks too impersonal.

I think it looks terrible - very lopsided and slapdash. =P Way waste of money!

I think its weird that they want to spend all this money for a new campaign when the economy is doing so badly.

I grew up with the 1971 logo. It was definitely the best of the bunch.

I think it looks wonky and I don't like the font. It won't change my opinion of the drink, but I think it's a waste of money. If they're doing it though I assume they have market research that tells them they ought to.
