Don't let the orange hue fool you; these mimosas aren't made with oranges — instead, they're made fruity with the help of mango purée and grapefruit juice. Mango thickens and sweetens the mimosa, while the grapefruit provides a crispness that complements the sparkling wine. Nothing beats fresh, so if you have time, then whirl up ripe mango chunks in a food processor to make homemade mango purée and squeeze some grapefruits in a citrus juicer.

Mango-Grapefruit Mimosa

From Anna Monette Roberts, POPSUGAR Food

Notes

Add more or less grapefruit juice to the sparkler to make the cocktail strong (or weak) enough to your liking.

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons mango purée, homemade or store-bought
3 ounces grapefruit juice, homemade or storebought
    Sparkling wine, to top

Directions

  1. Spoon mango purée into a champagne flute, then pour in grapefruit juice. Slowly top with sparkling wine in several increments so it does not bubble over. Stir once with a cocktail spoon, and serve immediately.
