Sipping on a hot peppermint mocha is one of the best parts of the holiday season, and McDonald's is stepping up its game with a nearly perfect rendition. Starting Nov. 2, McDonald's locations nationwide will offer a McCafé Peppermint Mocha, a seasonal beverage of mocha espresso made of 100 percent Arabica beans, rich dark chocolate syrup, a hint of peppermint, and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and more chocolate syrup. We braced ourselves for a supersweet drink, but we were pleasantly surprised by the subtlety of the flavors. The rich, chocolaty drink is just the right amount of sugary and minty — nothing like some of those toothpaste-like peppermint drinks you might have had before. "This tastes like an Andes Mint with coffee! Not too sweet. I love it," one taste tester noted. Some even claimed this peppermint mocha is better than Starbucks's! You can forgo the whipped cream and be just as satisfied with this mocha as a morning or afternoon treat. We're guaranteed to guzzle these down throughout the Fall and Winter seasons.
