Yikes! 3 Popular Meats Have Been Recalled For Possible E. Coli Contamination

Today in scary food news, a ton of meat — about 5,620 pounds, to be exact — has been recalled for a pretty concerning reason. Marcho Farms, Inc. is recalling its veal, beef, and pork products due to concerns that they're tainted with non-O157 Shiga toxin-producing E. coli, which can cause fatigue, abdominal cramping, and dehydration. Yikes!

The meats were distributed to stores like Food Lion and Walmart in six states — New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Virginia — according to the official US Department of Agriculture news release [1].
