Off to Market Recap: Knife Set

I'm treating myself to a new set of knives this holiday season. My collection of knives is minimal; it's a makeshift grouping of lost and leftover knives. I don't have a sharpener, and so they rest jaggedly, unsharpened in the knife block. I asked you to help me search for a superb, sharply stylish knife set. You looked for reasonably priced knives with a variety of knife types or individual knives that I can use to create my own set. You bookmarked your finds in the Yum Market on TeamSugar with the keyword tag Knife Set. I really want a set that includes kitchen scissors, and this one by Wüsthof has both scissors and a sharpener. Thanks for helping me out gruaig_rua! For more knives, scroll through the selections below.

I have a KitchenAide set that I love, but they go dull so quickly. Yum, can you do something about the proper way to sharpen a knife?

I love my Furi knives, even if Rachael Ray gets to be a bit much. I want the block!

I have a pretty decent knife set that I got from Macy's...if I had more time and was more into cooking, I'd probably invest in a nicer set like Henckl's.

They really do. My uncle is a professor at a culinary college and used to be a chef and he swears by these and their longevity.

No prob ;). I couldn't believe how expensive some sets were but if they last as long as Syako says then it's definitely worth the cash.

I cook A LOT and I only have a 7" Santoku, small paring knife and a honing steel (all Wusthof)! Its really all I need, ever. When it gets a little dull I just use the steel, and I have only had to sharpen it once. Cool thing you might want to check out is that a lot of upper-end grocery stores will sharpen up to 3 knives for free in the butcher section! That what I do, and its awesome! Go Wosthof, hope you likey as much as I do!

I have that exact set from Wusthof. When you get to pass those on to your grandchildren, you'll never ever regret that purchase.
