Savory Sight: The Cutest Little Breakfast

Is breakfast your favorite meal to cook? Then check out Annie Tomlin's creative take on a meatless breakfast.

My beau and I cook pretty frequently, and we love making breakfast. Together, we whipped this cute little dish up. I bought quail eggs from the local market, then prepared a pan with butter. Then I placed a bird-shaped cookie cutter on the pan, cracked the eggs, and poured them inside. Meanwhile, we'd sliced tomatoes and mixed them with some Moroccan tagine seasoning. That added a little spice, while an arugula "nest" provided a hint of bitterness. Salt and pepper, and we're good to eat. We're working on perfecting the presentation, but you get the idea. This is now one of our go-to breakfasts. Yum!

Thanks! It would probably be a nice way to prepare eggs for kids, too. (No kids in my house.) Kirstin -- ITA agreement re: spicy breakfasts. A good way to start the day!
