When I arrived at the restaurant, I was greeted with this mushroom corn appetizer. My favorite white wine was Kendall Jackson's Grand Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. The menu for the meal. At the table I enjoyed lively conversation with Jesse the sommelier, Jay Barmann of Grub Street, and the team behind Mendocino Wine Co. First course was a beautifully plated citrus shiso crudo and Armenian cucumber. This upscale take on a BLT involved heirloom tomatoes, purselane, chicharrones, and a pancetta vinaigrette. Chef Jennie Lorenzo's delicate plating of this lamb dish with fresh beans was almost too gorgeous to eat. My favorite red was KJ's Vitner's Reserve Pinot Noir.
