Quiche

Definition: Quiche

Quiche
Originally from the northeastern region of France called Alsace, quiche is a dish that consists of a buttery pastry shell filled with a savory egg and cream custard. The most classic quiche filling is Lorraine: a bacon and gruyere mixture. It is served as lunch, dinner, hors d'oeurves, or a first course and there are a variety of ingredients that can go into the custard from seasonings to fresh herbs and vegetables.

Can I just say that the quiche picture doesn't look appetizing to me at all? But I do love quiches. They made mini ones at one of my bridal showers that were very yummy. :)
