Ree Drummond has released a new book! Shortly after announcing plans for The Pioneer Woman magazine, Ree announced she was writing a new children's book, Little Ree ($12), which hit shelves on March 28. In a blog post from her birthday titled "Epiphany," Ree shared this exciting news with her fans and elaborated on the inspiration behind the book.
"As most of you know, I moved to the sticks (or the boonies, or the country) as an adult when Marlboro Man and I got married. And it was . . . a transition, to say the least! I was a fish out of water, I felt like I didn't belong, and I saw and experienced many things that freaked me out. For some time, I have thought it would be fun to take those experiences and tell them through the eyes of a little girl," Ree explained.
"I really had fun writing this book and projecting all the fears, angst, and frustrations I remember feeling onto this spunky little character," she continued. For those of us who wish we could live the Pioneer Woman's lifestyle on a ranch, this is just another way to get to know her. You can find the book on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Books-A-Million, and other book retailers.
