Rocco Dispirito Rescues Meals in New TV Show

Invite Rocco Into Your House!

Any Rocco DiSpirito fans in the house? If you answered yes to that question then you'll be excited to hear that Rocco is returning to television, and this time he might just cook for you. In his new show on A&E — no date set yet — called Rocco to the Rescue!, he will come to your house and teach you how to cook a special meal for a special occasion. The premise sounds a bit like Food Network's Rescue Chef — or like Ted Allen's role in Queer Eye — only with DiSpirito at the helm.

Now for the part that fans will really be excited about. If you live in the New York City area, you can try and get Rocco to come to your house. The casting call says:

A&E is looking for people in and around the New York City area who need Rocco’s help. To apply for the show, email with your name, age, phone number, a recent photo, and the reason you need to cook with Rocco. You can also call our casting hotline: 818-752-5559. Everyone loves to share the important moments in life over food, and Rocco knows exactly how to make those moments memorable!

So are you going to invite Rocco into your kitchen?

Aww, Rocco. I thought he was kinda cute on that reality show he did, actually! I would do it, but I don't live in NY. Oh well.

If I didn't know how to cook I would be doing this in a heartbeat! I think he's adorable and a genius chef. Anyone who has actually eaten his food knows how amazing he is. Nothing compares to his first restaurant Union Pacific. Unfortunately for us foodies, he's been doing more accessible food since that trainwreck of a show, 'The Restaurant'. I like what he's doing now though- I own his new cookbook and have made a few things that have been wonderful. He has a great blog on Bravo's site for Top Chef that I recommend as well:

"He had something done and I can't put my finger on it..." It looks like he's had botox or something similar.

Count me out. Didn't Tyler Florence used to do a show like that on FN? Food 911 or something?

..."name, age, phone number and a recent photo." Wow. Sounds like SOMEONE is going to great lengths all in the name of getting laid! ;)

Ugh, no way would I want him in my kitchen. I don't think he's as talented as people think and even if he is, his personality irritates the heck outta me! Plus I think he's gotten desperate for media attention. If he's such a fantastic chef then he needs to be in his OWN kitchen in his OWN restaurant.

I remembering watching his first show, I liked him at first, then it's like true colors showed he got so annoying. He's kind of a womanizer, I wouldn't want him in my kitchen...

I've seen a few episodes of his first show, and frankly, I don't think I would last five minutes in the kitchen with him before succombing to the urge to flog him with a cast iron skillet. And not in a good way! ;)
