Should Jello Bring Back Jello 1-2-3 ?

Friends and family members are constantly calling me up with questions involving food, recipes, and parties. So when my bff Emily turned to me recently and asked Do you have a recipe for...- I was confident I would have (or have access to) the recipe she was seeking. However this time she threw a curve-ball and stumped me. - Jello 1-2-3? Jello 1-2-3? The name sounded vaguely familiar, a hazy memory from a lost time. Do you know what I'm talking about reader? If you are under the age of 15 you most likely don't, however if you're older, you may remember a type of Jello that separates into 3 layers of Jello at 3 very different textures. The bottom layer is Jello, while the middle layer is more like a Jello mousse or custard and the top layer is a Jello foam. Em and I did some research and discovered that there is actually an underground cult movement that is begging Jello to bring back its beloved Jello 1-2-3 (which was found on supermarket shelves until 1996) and no mention of the fun dessert on the official Jello website. Emily and I gladly signed the petition as we were filled with nostalgia for a dessert my dad used to make us when we were in the fourth grade. What do you think?

Doesn't really matter if Jello brings it back there is a brand out there that makes it and it is just as good.... Dr. Oetker makes the Jello 1 2 3 version and comes in grape, strawberry, lime and orange, check it out for yourselves, you can find it in your grocery store that carries this brand. http://www.oetker.us/en/product/dessert-mixes/gelatin

I remember 100% and was trying to remember what it was called so I could make it. I found out and researched it and found many many websites with "copy-cat" recipes. They are all the same recipe but I like to send this link because it has a higher liklyhood of sticking around. So step back into childhood and make your own Jell-O 1-2-3!!! Hell yeah! I used to LOVE that stuff. "A creamy layer, a fluffy layer, a layer a fruity gelatin." See, I even remember the slogan... and that's sad. "Party like a rock star, pound like a porn star, play like an all star!"

Jello with milk? Really?

I remember back in the day, there was a recipe on the box to make jell-o with milk. My mom used to make it all the time. Better tasting than you would think. Jell-o made with gingerale or other sparkling drinks are good too.

I don't remember it at all. It sounds terrible, but that's just me.

I vaguely remember it, but I do know that I liked it better than regular Jello! I liked the custard-y layer. Now I want some!

I heart 1-2-3 Jello and miss is dearly. I guess I should try out that layered jello. I am so glad there's hope!
