We have two family traditions:
1. We go around the dining room table before we feast on Thanksgiving dinner and share what we are thankful for. It's always a mixed bag of responses, some of which are heartwarming and others which are just humorous.
2. Every year since I can remember, my mom will make a special Thanksgiving meal for me since I am a vegetarian. She knows I will not eat the turkey like the other guests, so she specially prepares a pumpkin stew that is served in a carved out pumpkin with the top serving as a lid.
