What Is This?

This week's mystery item won the prestigious German Design Plus award, to find out what it is,

Why it's the One-Handed Balancing Serving Tray from Hammacher Schlemmer. The tray is designed to be carried with only one hand, without compromising stability. The handle locks in to place at a 55 degree angle, ensuring a level carrying surface, exactly balanced for drinks, snacks, and even a full bottle of wine. When not in use, the handle folds down for easy storage. Available for $69.95.

That's pretty cool. I'm really interested in actually seeing someone use it! I'd be afraid that it wouldn't hold and everything would fall!

Yeah, I'm with DR. I think it's a great idea, but I don't see it actually working. I'm sure it requires a designated tray carrier.

I'd spill the whole tray. I like the concept but I have a hard time seeing the practicality of it.

WOW. lol and here i was thinking it was a crepe maker. that's pretty cool though~!! i wonder if it puts less strain on your arm? bc with trays you can hold it with both arms when you need to. lol that woman looks like she's about to either burst out laughing or cry out 'omg!' her arms are positioned awkwardly, lol
