I'm going to PF Changs for the first time... is there anything one recommends except for the vegetarian wraps? I normally eat at mom and pop shops, or stay home, but the norm that i visit are cheesecake factory, cpk, olive garden and tgif.

Nothing beats PF Chang's, even though Cheesecake Factory is pretty good. I just can't stand their ridiculously GIGANTIC portions! I just don't get it! Anyone else with me here??

We try to avoid chain resturants but my parents are fun the middle of no where so when they come to town they like to go to red lobster - we have taken them to local seafood restaurants but my dad just loves red lobster.

PF Changs - because it's the closest thing you'll find to a good Chinese restaurant in Florida.
My fave is Texas Roadhouse. Their rolls beat everything, hands down. But they are not listed

We've rediscovered TGIF - they have such a fun drink menu! It's a great starter place to meet and mingle. They also have great appetizers. Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang's too long of a wait and too much of a gone down hill since they have "chained out." My local bay area chains - Sushi Groove and Mikuni!

I normally dislike everything about chain resautrants on principle, but I've never had a Cheescake Factory experience that was anything less than superb.

cheesecake factory has good cheesecake but bad food. i refuse to eat at any restaurant that has had a major food poisoning problem. so that immediately rules out carraba's and applebee's.

I hate Chili's, TGI Fridays and the Olive Garden. I don't feel good after I eat at those places. Cheesecake Factory got my vote. Maggianos is the best though, and not really that much more expensive, you get tons of food.

PF Chang's is gross. I went there with 3 friends, we all ordered different items and ALL of it came doused in a similar brown greasy sauce. And I can't figure out why so many people love the lettuce wraps. Gag.

Cheesecake Factory! hands down. love it! Their lettuce wraps are so yummy. And oddly enough, I think they have the best iced tea.

in the past i would have said cheesecake but this past year i've rediscovered PF Chengs - they have opened everywhere and i'm soo happy. (more so because they have the vegetarian alternative to the lettuce wrap)

I put Applebee's because we eat there a lot, but I love CPK and Olive Garden and Red Lobster.

I love Olive Garden but there isn't one near me. I either have to go to Tracy or Hayward.

So I typically HATE eating out because I eat SO much that all restaurant servings sizes are WAY to small for my hearty appetite, so I normally spend a lot of money and still wind up being hungry when I get home: but the cheesecake factory's portion sizes rock!! I love how LARGE their dinner salads are! The last time I was there, they had a special: Halibut in some olive oil-saffron broth with olives, etc = and it was AMAZING and big enough for me! Granted I ordered vegetable side dishes to go along with the main meal...but still! When I got home instead of basically eating DINNER #2 I only had a sliced bell pepper as a snack!!! GO Cheesecake Factory! It is also reasonably priced, too bad I don't go more often: then again, I like my cooking the best over any restaurant! haha!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates PF Chang's! The food is always so greasy and crap tasting. I ordered once there and it looked like they brought something that had been left out for hours! Terrible...I am not a chain eater unless its forced on me...

My two faves are Carrabba's and Bonefish Grill, but since they aren't on the list, I went with #3- PF Chang's. I also LOVE Longhorn.

I do really like Cheesecake Factory, but I also love J. Alexander's and Carraba's, which aren't listed. I also recently (this past weekend) discovered Grand Lux Cafe, which just opened in CO. It was fab!
