I love dark meat. I don't care how bad it is for me either. I'll take plenty of the skin too.

I prefer white meat, but I'm not really that picky! My boyfriend, however, is extremely picky! He doesn't eat meat off the bone, and it has to be white meat. He will not eat the turkey if it cooked as a whole turkey. Usually, he's perfectly fine with just eating the different sides available, but I'm gonna do something a little different for him this year. Since Thanksgiving is my absolute FAVORITE holiday, I think he should enjoy it as much as I do. So, this year, besides the baked, stuffed turkey my parents are doing, and the fried one they're taking to my bro's, I'm gonna go buy a boneless turkey breast (like the one Racheal Ray did), and bake it up for him. I feel like I'm being an awesome girlfriend!

I eat the skin only. But I prefer the side dishes to the turkey anyway.

I prefer white meat, but I don't really eat that much turkey on Thanksgiving. I much prefer the side dishes ;)

Oh, and julieulie: I never cared for Thanksgiving much either because of the food. It's just not a meal I enjoy that much, although everyone else seems to go crazy for it. We're the oddballs, I guess. :)

I'm not crazy about turkey, but eat both dark and white parts when I have it.

Good, more dark for me! Dark tastes the best! Otherwise I'd eat the white because it's lower in calories, but it's a holiday... load me up on dark.

I like mollywog's philosophy: white for sandwiches and dark when it's nice and hot. It's hard to discriminate because white meat is good with gravy and sauces, and dark is so moist on its own.
