no can do... can't choose. I live in Italy so for the moment I will go with risotto as so many people mentioned, it is so versatile. But a paella made just right.... yum, my mouth is already watering.

Paella, for sure... I've had risotto twice and there's just something about it that I really don't like, but paella is delicious.

Mallorca restaurant in Cleveland, OH has a great paella. I love them both: paella and risotto. It just depends on what mood I'm in that day and if I'm in the mood for some spice or not. Risotto is great because it's so versatile - you can put so many different things in it to change the look and feel. I've made a couple different kinds on my food blog so far.

paella is so much more flavorful and less sticky. risotto is usually so blah.

Risotto! It's my favorite food. I could easily eat it everyday. The best one I ever had was in Milan.

I have not yet tried either, but if they were both on the menu I would go for the paella.

I love paella and do indulge now and then. Risotto is made with cheese and I'm highly allergic, so no can do.

I don't really eat shellfish, and so no paella for me!

It depends on the ingredients. Risottos can be boring sometimes.

Both, I love homemade risotto and order paella out at restaurants if on the menu. :feedme:

I love both, but paella wins because it has paprika, and the mushiness and heaviness of risotto bugs me a little.

Paella, since I so rarely see it on menus, it's a definite treat! The restaurant I used to work at had THE BEST vegetable paella and seafood paella. I miss them so much!
