Would You Rather Eat Polenta or Pasta?

Both are classic Italian starches and serve as the perfect accompaniment for, well, anything really — though I'm partial to pairing either with a great red sauce. Still, I end up eating more pasta, simply because I see it more commonly on restaurant menus. However, when I find a polenta dish, I'm always pleasantly surprised and usually make it my order. Fit finds that both have nutritional perks. What do you think?

Pasta, but I've never had polenta outside of the tubes. Does anyone have a delicious polenta recipe they can share? (Vegetarian or easily vegetarianized one)

Wait? Polenta is like cream of wheat or malt o meal? I LOVE that stuff. I do eat it sweet with a little bit of brown sugar. I could eat that every freaking day. But.... there is something about pasta that is delicious too. And I just love putting cheese over it :)

It seems that I stand alone on this, but I can't stand polenta's texture!

Í can't possible choose between the two, any more than I could choose one type of pasta (rigatone or linguine, penne or spaghetti?) or between different types of grains (corn or wheat, oats or spelt?)but I love the versatility of polenta but certain sauces can only be eaten with pasta (carbonara for example)

I usually eat polenta as a sweet thing...like Cream of Wheat with a bit of maple syrup and butter. For savory dishes, I prefer whole wheat pasta.

Maybe it's because of my southern upbringing, but nothing says comfort to me like a nice, soft polenta. I also love it fried so it's crispy and chewy and still soft and yielding in the middle. Mmmm... polenta.
